For my Product Design I chose to add a voice-activated sensor in the middle of a basketball. What the sensor does is when you miss a shot and the ball rolls across the gym all you have to do is yell back and the sensor will hear that and stop where it is and start to roll back to you. Once the ball gets close enough to you, say stop and the ball will stop immediately. This is very helpful because instead of chasing the ball everywhere, you only have to say 2 words and wallah, the ball is back! What I like most about it is that it would be very helpful to me because I love to shoot hoops.
I decided to do the Michigan State Spartans logo because I wanted to do something simple since we only had 3 days. Another reason is my friend Cade likes Michigan and he was very irate when he heard. PROCESS- First I got my linoleum block and started drawing lines for the S. Once I finished, next was to start carving out the outside parts of the S using CHATTER. When that was finished, I started to use a brayer (sophisticated word for roller) to roll paint on the linoleum block. I choose dark green for Michigan State. Sadly I put the S on the linoleum block the wrong way so the S became a green 2. Once I finished putting all my prints on paper, I numbered them from 1/6 all the way to 6/6 depending on how much I liked them. Overall, this was a very fun project and for me by far the best and most fun project we have done all year! -Some of the challenges I had during this project were cropping the many different photos that I used. -One thing that was an obstacle was using different layers in sketchbook -Some of the differences between MM and I is that he can become invisible and is speedy quick unlike me. -Some of the similarities we share are that we are athletic, smart, and funny. For my 2D project I chose to draw the Chicago Bulls logo, but I used SCAMPER and made it more unique. I enjoyed making it because it's about something I love to do which is basketball. The original source I used is right here.
I learned that when you are on the potters wheel you have to have your arms at a certain angle, apply a certain amount of pressure and force, and make sure you have all your tools next to you.
I learned from Doug that when you're on the potters wheel, it's not very difficult. I also liked how he slowed down and explained it to everyone. I learned that land art is about nature and how it connects with art into 1. I also learned that when Andy goes out and looks for things to work with, he finds them and puts them in a certain way so you can see what he is trying to show you and how the art sends a message. I enjoyed looking at the art he made because it involves nature and the wild. He doesn't just stay inside all the time, he goes out and finds things that inspire him and he turns them into something that inspires other people. I am most proud of the the information I found because to me it's a lot of really interesting things about him and what he's done |
